Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

Auto Accident

What is the standard settlement for an auto accident hit from behind at a stationary position (Stopped at a red light)? Received severe cervical strain. Had 2 months of Physical Therapy and still get headaches.

Re: Auto Accident

There is no standard amount for determining how much to settle a case. Settlement offers depend on a number of factors including the nature and severity of the injuries suffered, the liability, and collectibility from the opposing. Best of Luck.

Re: Auto Accident

In Allegheny County, Juries have been finding either for the defendant driver (even though they hit the injured from behind?!) or for the injured and awarding no money.

These cases generally have a settlement value between 2 and 10 thousand dollars. However, the value of a case is very much dependent on whether or not there are lost wages, medical expenses and out of pocket expenses. The single most important factor in any case is whether the injured makes a good witness.

Re: Auto Accident

There is no standard settlement. Each case is different and requires scrutiny of the details of the case, including medical records and examinations. I recommend that you contact an attorney in your area to evaluate your case. Many personal injury attorneys offer free consultations. I would be very wary of any dollar amount you get as a reply based solely on your question as presented.

It depends. How much property damage was there? Do you have any limitations on your ability to sue based upon your insurance policy. Whhere did it happen
