Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

I want to file a tort law suit in louisiana but i live in pennsylvania. Do i have to use an attorney from louisiana/familiar with louisiana law. My case involvesd discrimination, harrassment, and real estate law.

my question basically is could i hire an attorney based in pennsylvania? I would prefer to if i could.

Absolutely, hire an atty down there who is very experienced in that area of law. Louisiana's legal system is much different from Pennsylvania's.

Agreed. Louisiana is the only state in the country whose law is based, in large part, on the Napoleanic Code. It is very different. The only way you could find someone here is to find a transplant who practiced in Louisiane first. Not likely. Besides, you will avoid travel expenses, etc. by hiring a local attonrey.
