My lease does not state any specific amount owed if I decide to terminate my lease early, can my landlord make me pay the remaining lease term amount?

The usual rule in the US is that a lease is a contract, and if it says its term is 12 months or 18 months or whatever; that's how long you have to pay for. Just like a car lease; almost impossible to get out of those early.

Good luck.
