Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Lumber and Boundary lines

I am in the process of purchasing a home from my wifes parents and aunts, it is an estate being sold to us. the neighbor has marked trees to have them cut and I believe they are on the property I am buying. I am having a surveryor mark the lines. If it turns out that it is in fact on my land the trees are being cut. What actions can I take being that I do not own the house yet. If I can not do anything now, what can I do once the land is ours, eventhough the lumber might allready be gone.

Thanks for any help

Re: Lumber and Boundary lines

Well once the survey lines are in place and some of the trees are not on his property then start by talking to the person who is having the trees cut. He's probably unaware of exactly where the boundary is. So talk to him and try to get him to walk the land with you. No sense in declaring war after all he's going to be your neighbor.
