What expenses can a social security disability attorney request reimbursement for if he wins his case?

Any funds expended for your case, including but not limited to:

photo-copies for records; mailing expense; phone expense; travel expense; doctors fees for drafting letters or completing questionnaires; office and para-legal costs, etc.

But you should really be asking this question of your attorney.

By the way many attorneys ask that you pay part or all of those expenses up front.

And such costs are due whether you win or not.

I respectfully suggest that you concentrate on doing what is needed to WIN your case not what it will cost. Attorneys fees and costs are a necessary investment in fighting the SSA to get your benefits.
