ssi for my daughter

i receive ssi i have some mental diagnoses i am a single mother . can i receive ssi for my daughter also. she doesnt have any mental problems but is kind of out of control she is on probation and has been kicked out of school till next year and is going to a alternative education school she has alot of school truancy we have went to court 3 time this year for school. she was kick out of school for taken her prescription med. to school an having a pocket knife in her bookbag. her behaveor has gotten worce senice she has been plased at this new shool and har grade are f they were a and b's . she has a iep and is in learning support classes.

Such behavior may be the basis for a diagnosis of a mental disorder, such as opposional defiant disorder. File an SSI claim for her and submit school and court records to the SSA. Have her evaluated and treated by mental health professionals and you'll have a good start to prove disability. But childrens claims are very difficult, so hire a lawyer.
