Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania

I was recently involved in a traffic accident. I slid off the side of the road and hit a railroad crossing stop arm. From what I could see, I did not damage it. And no other vehicals or people were involved. Thinking I didn't need to report it if it was just my vehicle, I drove my car to a safe place to park, and planned to have it towed and call insurance the next business day. However, I received a call from the police that my vehicle and involved in a hit and run and there must have been a camera near by. So, they are saying there is damages. Ok, I'm responsible for the damages and a ticket. That makes sense, but could this be serious? I am a worrier, and am really concerned. What are the possible outcomes of this? Do I need to get a lawyer? Could I have jail time, or license suspension?

This could be serious and you could lose your license. Jail most unlikely.
