I had a settlement in a presonal injury case, my lawyer gets a 3rd and i supposed to get the rest. Now he say that he has to deduct other fees out of my portion of the settlement. Example hospital records fees and shriff service fees also stenogroher fees. Can he do that?Don't my 33percent a paid out of the settlement to him cover all that?

Review your attorney-client fee agreement. This should explain the fee arrangement and how fees and expenses are deducted from a settlement. Typically fee agreements include deductions for out of pocket expenses such as travel, copying, postage, court fees, and stenographic expenses.
