Life insurance and estate assets
Are the funds from my deceased mother's life insurance policies considered part of her estate and therefore a source of debt collection from her credit card companies? She did not name an executor, did not have a will, and her 3 children are the policy benificiaries.

life insurance is not part of the estate where beneficiaries are named, as in your case.
