Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

My mother in law wants to divide her property leaving a part to her one son, if something would happen to him he wants the property to go back to his brother instead of his wife or her children and keep it in the family name.. is that possible

yes, it is possible. The designation is called Per Capita. Anything left to the brother should be left per capita, and as long as he has a sibling, that sibling would take if brother predeceases mom.
