unsecured or credit card debit

if a divorced person with only one adult child dies, does their unsecured and credit card debit have to be paid with the pension or retirement fund money that the adult child is named beneficiary on?

The creditors can go after the estate but not the beneficiary. If the pension fund passed by means other than the estate it may escape the clutches of the creditors. A lot will depend on who the adult child is to get the money.
