workers comp.

i have been out of work since 11/11/08 and have been receiving short term disability with a WC claim pending.will i have to pay that money back once my claim is settled?

One way or another. The better practice is for you Attorney to have received notice of a subrogation lien and he will negotiate the figure downward if he can and deduct that lesser amount from the greater amount of your overdue corpus of Workers' Compensation indemnification payments.

The Law disdains a Double Recovery. There are a couple of situations where the extra money might not be considered a double recovery, but they are rare and do not seem applicable to the facts as you presented them.
