Legal Question in Family Law in Philippines

marriage contract/certificate

Is a late registered marriage contract/certificate, aside from having no signatures (contracting couples, solemnizing officer, witnesses, etc), questionable?Considering, too, that it was registered in the year of the groom's/husband's death?

Re: marriage contract/certificate

Yes, the absence of those essential details in the Marriage Contract puts in question its authenticity and due execution.

While it is the best evidence that a marriage was solemnized between the parties, however, the lack of marriage contract does not mean that there was no valid marriage. As long as the essential and formal requisites of marriage are present there was a marriage that took placed between the parties.
