Legal Question in Employment Law in Rhode Island

I work for coca cola. I work 1st shift. We kinda make our own hours here in Rhode Island however start time is no later than 6 am. Often I must go in at 3 or 4 am to get my job done. I am paid hourly. Do they have to pay me 3rd shift differential pay for hours worked in the middle of the night?

Are you covered by a collective bargaining agreement? If so, the agreement should specify what pay you are entitled to receive.

If not, then RI state law would govern, and you may find the relevant statutes here: http://www.rilin.state.ri.us/Statutes/TITLE28/28-12/INDEX.HTM
