Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

Do you get jail time for a first offense?

The mother of my child took my checkbook and wrote three checks with the total value of $370. I Put a stop payment on the check but the bank still cashed them out. I had no choice but to fill charges. Now she has three counts of forgery. What I want to know is will she get any jail time? She all so tried to apply for a credit card over the internet using my SS#. Which leads me to believe that she was tring to ruin me. At around the same time she filled for child support.

Re: Do you get jail time for a first offense?

It all depends on her record. If she has an extensive criminal record, then she might get time. If she does not, then she will probably not get time.
