Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Child custody

I want a legal document to say my daughter gives me legal temporary custody of her son until she can support and care for him on her own with out help from anyone else and has a safe place to stay since she is acting very irresponsible and running off all the time. Not following the rules and thinks she is now an adult.

Re: Child custody

She can transfer custody to you through a court action, but the father will need to be named as a party to such a case. If he does not consent, then it may not be easy to get this done, though it may be possible.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.

If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
