Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

I am the father of a 6 month old son. The mother and I were never married but my child has my last name. She recently has taken him away from me. Legally in south carolina, do I have the right to go and get him?

No. Because you were not married, you will need to petition the court for a paternity test or acknowledge paternity, and you will need to petition the court for custody or visitation. Without a court order, you have no visitaiton or custody rights.
