separation financial responsibilities

I am recently separated w/2 sons that live with me. My husband and i bought a house about 1 yr ago and did major renov, which acq credit card debt. Should he also be resp for some of these debts even if they are all in my name and were used spec to upgrade our house (which has no equity).

The Court in SC isn't concerned whether the debts are in your name, his name or both. The question is when incurred and for what purpose. As long as incurred during the marriage and used for marital purpose, the fact that it's solely in your name is not a big problem.
