Legal Question in Personal Injury in South Carolina

reasonable expectations when involved in atuo accident case

I was involved in an automobile accident 3 months ago. I was hit from behind and as a result required back surgery. I did obtain an attorney. My problem is he never realy seems to answer my questions. My medical bills total $40,000 from this accident where the other driver has alreaady plead guilty to the charge of following to close. After speaking with my attorney it appears that if a settlement is reached, after he takes his fee and pays all of the medical fees I will be left with very little(under$10,000) . Is there any course of action I can take as I have had no income since this occured and am getting is serious debt?

Without knowing much more about the facts of your case, it is impossible to say whether the offer is fair or not. You should be sure that you are confident in your attorney and the steps that he/she is taking on your behalf.
