Legal Question in Workers Comp in South Carolina

Injured

My husband is type 1 diabetic. His sugar dropped, he passed out and wrecked his work truck. He is severely injured and can't work. His boss told everyone he let my husband go but didn't tell him personally but stopped paying him and won't return his calls. He claimed my husband wasn't working so the worker's comp was denied. What do we do?

Re: Injured

Your husband is entitled to retain an attorney who can request a hearing with the Workers Compensation Commission and can then present evidence that he was in fact employed. If he wins the hearing then he will be entitled to benefits. Your husband needs to consult with a Workers Comp. attorney.

Re: Injured

You should have an atty look at same to see if it is covered under workers comp. I may depend on whether your husband was on a personal errand or going to or from work.

I would be glad to talk to you about same.
