captial one is trying to colect on a credit card that i had 7 years ago, this is the first Iv heard from them and now they want 1,476.95 on a credit card that had a limit of 200.00 dollars, I never exceeded the max credit limit. I just for got about and never paid.

Can they collect on a bill from so long ago? how long can it stay on my credit report? and if it falls off can they put it back on? and do I have to pay 1,279.95 in fees?

SOunds like they may be past the Statute of Limitations. If collector is 3rd Party ( not orig. creditor) they may be in violation of Federal Law and YOU may be able to sue them. Call or email for further assistance.]
