Legal Question in Family Law in South Dakota

Not Married-Living together

I live with father of my 2 children for thier best interest, we have never been married. he wanted to sell our house and seperate, no arugument from me we have no personal relationship at all. With the economy the way it is and our children still in school I recommended we wait till spring 2009. He sent me a certified attorney letter stating we needed to put the house on the market now and he was seeking new residence. Now He says that letter is not from him and doesn't think we should put house on market. He is now talking about custody of the children. Where do we stand since we have never been married, How do I procced?

Re: Not Married-Living together

sounds like b.s. You get a letter from his lawyer, and he says that is not his view.

There is a paternity action, and a property action: consult an attorney.
