Legal Question in Business Law in Tennessee

wondering what to do?

This lady is threatening me if I don't start paying her $300 a month. The buisness I got from her we never signed a contract for the sall of the buisness. It has been a year since i closed the doors. She has only asked money from me once before now. i was there for three months so i do fill like i owe her three months worth. I have payed two months. Does she have grounds to sue me?

It is impossible to answer your question from the limited amount of facts which you have supplied. If you are concerned about being sued, it is usually a good idea to make an appointment to sit down with an attorney and get that attorney's legal advice. You'll have to pay for the advice, but the attorney may be able to not only advise you on your legal rights and obligations, but also how to handle the situation to minimize your risks.
