Legal Question in Technology Law in Tennessee

Adult stories on writing forum website

I help moderate a writing-related forum in which members can post stories but anyone (general public) can read the stories posted. Recently, we have had some members post sexually-explicit erotic stories. We don't want to censor them (artistic expression, etc.), and all are labeled as being NC-17 or X-rated in the heading in order to provide the necessary warning to readers. However, is there more that we need to do legally to protect the forum from potential liability or suit? Thanks.

Re: Adult stories on writing forum website

You should have appropriate disclaimers prior to the ability to read the material, and create the requiremeht that viewers acknoweldge that they are over the age of 18 (or 21 in certain jurisdictions) as well. We work with many adult-oriented websites and woudl be able to assist you with these provisions.
