If you are engaging in this activity as a commercial enterprise, there are so many dangers I cannot list them all.

First and foremost, the State of Tennessee regulates boxing exhibitions. The Department of Commerce and Insurance regulates boxing through its Boxing Commissioner. The Commissiner licenses and regulates all commercial boxing. She may regulate non-commercial boxing I am not sure.

Second, the legal liability for injury to the participants and patrons would be a serious concern if I were you. That release may not be effective especially given the illegal nature of the event itself.

If I were you, I would seek legal counsel immediately to make sure that these and the other hundreds of risks you are running are properly addressed.

If this is not a commercial venture, I do not think you are out of the woods. Boxing can be dangerous and unless you really know what you are doing and properly supervised by the State you may be held responsible for any problems whether you are at fault directly or not. In such an event, this could be a very expensive hobby. Good luck.
