Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Alimony Laws!!

I have a friend that is required to pay alimony. After several years of paying he decided to stop. He is now spending 30 days in the county jail. My question is, When he gets out of jail does the alimony start back? SHould he start paying it right away? If he doesn't will he go back to jail? And how long do they wait before putting u back in jail? How many times a year could they put him in jail?

He must follow the court order and at this point, it may be difficult to determine how far behind he is. I would strongly suggest his hiring legal counsel as he could very easily find himself back in jail.
