My Financial Responsibility for a parent - Power of Attorney

I have Power of Attorney docuement for my 80 y/o father. The docuement was executed in Tennessee, but he recently moved to Virginia to be near me. My question is, if he goes out and buys a car, or signs a lease, etc., without my knowledge, do I have financial responsiblity; can I be sued should be default on payments?

If the power of attorney is properly drawn, you will not have any responsibility for the debts your father incurs.
