Modifying an agreeded upon parenting plan
My ex-wife and I have modified our original parenting plan. Everything is agreed on and all we need is for a judge to sign. The clerk of the court tells us we need to have a lawyer file a petition. If everything is agreed upon why do we need a lawyer?

Because the clerk's office is requiring it. SHOULD the clerk's office require it? Not at all, but the clerk's office you are dealing with IS requiring it and will apparently refuse to let you file any paperwork to get anything before a judge unless you have an attorney. Of course you could go to court to challenge this, but for THAT you would certainly need an attorney and it would cost far more than hiring an attorney for what you need right now.
