Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

No money for lawyer to get visitation

I have bipolar disorder. My daughter who is now 14, shares her father's last name but lived with me until a few days before her 5th birthday. Before I was diagosed correctly and receiving the right meds I was taken down hard by this disorder. I was in college, working on campus, and caring for my daughter alone. Her father was actve miltary and in Honduruas.I became so despondent that I did a terrible thing. I overdosed. But it didn't do anything to me. I confessed this to someone the next day and I endeed up at the stress ward. The DR was about to release me when I told him How much I regretted my action especially since I had a daughter. When he found out she had been there he had her put in foster care. They awarded complete custody to me even though he tried to get custody. When she was almost five I needed to be hospitalized again. I did the responsible thing and asked her paternal graddad to care until I was better. I had to sign a notarized statement giving temporary custody. He didn't honor our agreement and I did not see her for five years . They even threatened my life. Her dad finally let her star seeing me agan in the year 2000,SEPT. In 2003 I didn't make her go back. They took her out of my custody again. He has her.
