Step-Parent adoption

I actually have two questions. #1- I have been married for 2 years, and my husband wants to adopt my children (or at least have their names changed.) Their birth father is not on the birth certificate, has never paid child support, and has not seen them in over 4 years. How do I do this?

#2- I have contacted three attorneys in Nashville, and no one seems to have the time for me? Could you suggest a good lawyer that handles things like this?
