Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Transferring assests

My sister in Mo. is suing me for money that was left to me by my father. She is trying to prove he was incompent when he made these arrangements. These assests were in stocks and mutal accounts. The brokage firm has already paid me as my dad's benefiency. I live in Tennessee and she is filing suit in Mo. My question is can I have all my assests transfered to my wife in case she find judgement againt me and tries to obtain any funds. ''Can She obtain any funds in my wife's name???''

Re: Transferring assests

It would certainly make it more difficult for your sister to collect on a judgment, but I would be more interested in trying to defend her suit if possible. That would be much more secure and definite. Was your father a resident of Tenn or MO when he died? Of course, I would have to read the complaint to know for sure, but you might have a way to defeat the suit in MO on jurisdictional grounds.
