Legal Question in Medical Leave in Tennessee

FMLA Leave

My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in January and since then has surgery to remove the breast and now is under going chemo and will under radiation in the near future. I am the only child or relative capable of taking her to and from the doctor. My employer has the FMLA paperwork necessary to allow me the time off but now they are requesting notes from all 4 doctors to verify the time off. I have now been written up due to my tardiness and absence. Is there anything I can do in order to stop this harassment? I am a salaried employee and I work over and do not take lunches, when possible, to make up this time. I feel like I am about to lose my job and I am not sure what I can do? Please help.

Re: FMLA Leave

The short answer is, that they cannot do this to you. You need to get a lawyer to make them stop.
