Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Tennessee

Bilateral ACL Reconstruction

I had bilateral ACL reconstruction several years ago. I did not heal well. I went to another dr and he told me they were not done correctly & had to redo them. The limitations have expired so I can't sue for medical malpractice. Can I bring civil action against the 1st dr who did the surgeries wrong? I have incurred unnecessary expenses, pain and suffering as a result of his negligence. My insurance company has covered all my surgeries (7 total), but deserves to be reimbursed. Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

Re: Bilateral ACL Reconstruction

You may have a cause of action against the first doctor depending on how long you have known about the malpractice. You ahve one year from the date you knew or should have known that there was a mistake. Please email me any additional questions.
