Traveling on H1B approval
I am currently on F2, I had filed a Change of Status H1B application for FY 2009, which has been approved. My brother is getting married in India, can I travel on the approval notice, can I then get my H1B stamped in India, when is the earliest I can do so?

Depending on the timing of your trip you can travel to India and have the consulate stamp the H-1B visa in your passport. Most likely you will be issued an H-1B visa that will be valid starting 10 days prior to October 1, 2008, at the earliest and won't be allowed in the country prior to the H-1B visa validity period. You will need to make an appointment with the consulate in advance to make sure that you can return in time to start your work on H-1B.
