My son was struck in the nose with a closed fist-breaking his Septum/Nose. The blow was intentional ,from a unprovoked student from the blind side. Is the Students parents liable for medical bills incurred from my sons injury. Anesthesia at the hospital was neccessary four days after the blow so that the doctor could reset his nose.

Re: school injury

There is a rule of law taught in law school that parents are generally not responsible for their children's torts, unless those torts were foreseeable. However, I have seen dozens of cases where parents sue the parents of another child who injured someone in their family -- usually in a car accident. I would hope that you would sue the parents of this violent boy to teach them the consequences of settling disputes with violence.
