If hurt on the job in Tennessee, how much financial help will workers compensation provide for family and victim. What are the upper limits of compensation? Should I buy additional insurance coverage?

The short answer to your question is "not much". The amount of wrker's compensation depends on many factors such as your average weekly wage (the lower the wage, the lower the compensation) and how life altering the injury is. On the low end, if you are totally disabled, the maximum amount payable is around $120,000 and the high end is around $200,000.00. If you can afford disability or income replacement insurance as well as worker'compensation insurance, you should consider getting it.
