Legal Question in Workers Comp in Tennessee

how is setlement figured if you are let go from job

i injured my back at work and received workers comp benefits for about 4 months.I was then released from workers comp doctor to mmi with rating of 5% to body he left me with restrictions of medium duty as per dept. of labor standards that equals no more than 25Lbs. 1/3 of day 15lbs. 2/3 and 10lbs 100%. My workers comp payments stopped when they made there decision about work. This restriction put me out of my job they had no work for me with these and told me they had to be raised or lifted to return. I was told by doctor these are permanent restrictions. I have recieved extension of benefits for 60 days coming from settlement. If this goes to court can judge make insurance pay some of attorneys fees etc. What do i have as recourse for all this? Is lawyer recomended?

Attorney fee's are not allowed under the workers' compensation laws, but I would suggest hiring an attorney to make sure you maximize your results and obtain all the benefits you are entitled to receive. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions.
