Legal Question in Disability Law in Texas

FMLA/ADA - Do I have any rights?

after my employer found out that i might be hiv+, my mgr. advised me to get my things and go home. she said it would be best if i was on short term disability so we could all have time to adjust. she said i needed to have my dr. contact our insurance company and provide some info to have my leave certified. she promised that i could come back, and my job would still be there. i was confused and scared, but i did as she said. the day i returned, she advised me that she had to fill my position with another person. she said i would have to take a demotion to a position in another department. still scared, i complied. after this she started harassing me, and i finally complained to HR. they told me there was nothing they could do, and i should just not pay attention to her. i did as i was told, and tried to learn the new job i was placed into. i received not even 1 day of training. i tried to talk with my new manager about the need to keep dr appts, and he had no problem with this until my old manager had a talk with him. afterward, i wasn't allowed any flexibility even though i had paid time off available. after a couple of months working in the new position my performance review was strong w/ excellent quality. 2 days later im fired
