sales tax debt
During the ownership of a company that is no longer open I inccured sales tax debt from the sale of taxable items. The debt is very large and I am now a stay at home mom. Are there any options available to me that would either discharge or severly lower the debt enough that I could pay it(in my life time)also is there anyway to stop them from garnishing my wages if I went back to work. Thank you for any help.
Re: sales tax debt
I believe you could get some if not all of this debt discharged. You might have to file under chapter 13 and pay a portion of this debt back over 3 to 5 years. By the way, I'm pretty sure in Texas that only the IRS or a child support creditor can garnish wages. Please feel free to give me a call to discuss your situation in more detail. ph. (214) 637-0713
