Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas

False Arrest

My question pertains to an incident which occurred in my family recently. A member of my immediate family was arrested. The name the officers had matched a warrant from another county,(to which my family member had not been in). The officers said, ''Close Enough!'' as they arrested my family menber. While this was occurring, Father passed away. No one would speak to me in this little old police station in one of those Suberb cities within a Metro-Plex. Then my family member was transferred to a County facility, within the Metro-Plex. I requested a Supervisor. I discussed this situation with a Sargent there. After some pushiness on my part, he was finally released.(3 days after this first started) We made it just in time for the burial. What are our rights in this matter? We didn't even get an apology from these individuals.
