Legal Question in Technology Law in Texas

Cable Company disclosing my specific web site history.

Is it a violation of my right to privacy if an employee of the local cable company gives information of what websites I visit to a family member of mine? Yes, the account was in my name and I am, and was at the time, over 18 years old. No I did not visit any illegal web site.

No, but it is probably against cable company policy. I doubt any cable company will give this information without some court order. Did the "family member" get a court order? What else is going on that would make a "family member" want to find out this information? That is all the free advice from this lawyer, and since you did not give the whole story the advice is general and may change once the details are known. Call and we can arrange payment details for any further advice.
