Legal Question in Technology Law in Texas

i repaired 2 computers for a friend. it has been over a year and she hasn't come to pickup the computers and pay me for the repair. I've been constantly in contact with her any for the past year she said she will pickup the customers and pay me for the work but never does. its always alot of excuses. Today she verbally said I can sell the computer. I would like to know what the statute of limitations are on the computers and what I can do to avoid retaliation or lawsuit. I have emails and text messages but we didn't do a written contract. everything was verbal. so what do i do. do you think i should sell the computers. i don't even know where she lives because she moved. i don't know if I should send a certified letter

You should have something from the friend in writing that says you can sell the computers and keep any money made from the sale. An e-mail from an e-mail associated with the person will probably be fine.

Good Luck!
