Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Texas

copyright infringement

I am a professional photographer. I have seen 2 instances of my work that has been copied without my permission and I know there are probably countless others if I could prove it due to the availability of copy machines for photographs. Is there anything I can do to receive financial restitution for copyright infringement?

Re: copyright infringement

You may recover for the unauthorized use of copyrighted material - that's what the copyright laws are for.

If your photographs were under valid copyright, then filing a civil suit is the remedy.

Such can be too expensive to pursue if out of state and the photographs cannot be shown to have great value.
