Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

wrong doing from car dealership

we purchased a 06 chev. HHr in 11/05. we were signing the paperwork, and asked about life ins., we were told it is automatically added on a new purchase and if anything happened to either of us it would be paid off. nothing else was said about the ins. SO WE THOUGHT WE WERE COVERED. my husband passed away 2 1/2 months ago. come to find out the contract manager answered NO to some health questions that we were not even told were in the paperwork. he did not ask us nor did he tell us this page is health questions to answer. he just pushed paperwork for the signatures. with No on the health questions the ins. won't pay off and the dealership said U signed it. is there anything we can do? Have file with the attorney general, dept. of trans. and the BBB against the dealership. the dealership wants to refund the cost of the ins. and leave it at that. I believe we should get what we were told we had and the dealership should take responsibility for their employees actions. of course the dealership says it is my work against theirs. and that the contract manager says he has a routine he follows each time. Now the contract manager that answered the health questions no without asking us is no longer employed there.

Re: wrong doing from car dealership

By now you realize that the dealer is going to avoid responsibility; so, if you want what you paid for, you're going to have to hire a lawyer and probably sue them. I have done this before. I'm a little distance from you, but I have other cases in Austin and San Antonio. If you want to discuss this matter further, contact me by email. [email protected]
