Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

my son bought a truck and i co signed for him. he lost his job & got advise on the best way to handle it so they told him to turn the truck over to them. Now 5 years later they are calling me saying they are going to forclose on my home. Can they do that?

No, they cannot. Your home is exempt under Texas Law. These people who are calling you five years later sound very much like scammers.
