If you were 20 yr old at conviction for class A misdemeanor for assault with bodily injury, would you be eligible for expunction?

No. Convictions are never eligible for expunction, unless you somehow manage to get a pardon from the governor or get the case overturned on appeal or on a writ. Convictions are part of your permanent criminal record, and do not ever go away or become eligible for sealing or expunction.
