Alternative school is not jail school. You have no idea.

You can be charged with a misdemeanor offense of possession of the drug. The fact it was on school campus enhances the offense.

At 17, you are an adult in criminal law eyes.

You may, or may not, get a summons to go to court (or be arrested.) You and your parents should consult with a local criminal defense lawyer.
