Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

How do I get a felony expunged?

Long story short: A relative of mine started working at new job, an employee she was working with asked for a ride home. On the way home, employee asked my relative to stop by a bar on the way home because she had to drop something off to her boyfriend. Employee went into bar, came back and hopped into relative’s truck. As they left the bar, Trooper stopped them. Trooper searched relative’s truck, found cocaine on the passenger side. Relative denied owning cocaine & employee also denied it. Relative got busted for it because relative owned the truck. Drug paraphernalia was found on employee, which was added to relative’s charges. Misdemeanor & Felony. Relative hires lawyer, lawyer wants $5000 to remove charges. Relative barrows from another relative and when court date comes, trooper doesn’t show up and trooper searched truck illegally. Misdemeanor is out however the felony remains. In the process, relative loses job and can’t get another job because of the felony. Relative contacts lawyer to find out why felony not expunged when misdemeanor was, lawyer tells relative, “that will be another $2000.00 for that.” I think relative is getting ripped, at wits end & need help. What can relative or I do to resolve? Please help.

probably under the circumstances you might strongly want to consider retaining a new attorney to look into and/or handle your case if you are displeased with your current attorney's efforts and/or billing practices. if you would like a free phone consultation, email us directly today with your contact information.
