Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

i was at a gas station pumping gas and a friend got out to break the window of the gas station to free some guy because he tryed to steal beer. could i be held liable ? they didnt get my car

If you helped this friend leave the scene of the crime, or if you knew he was going to do this, then you could be charged and possibly convicted of the offense as a party to it.
