Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Misapplication of Funds - Theft

In 2000 I was charged with misapplication of funds and theft of under 20,000. I am on probation an paying restitution. Now I am being charged again with theft of money from my last employer, but this time, I did not take any money that I did not pay my ex-employer back. Everyone in my office borrowed money without the owner knowing and because of my background, my ex-boss just assumed it was me stealing the money, but it was the accountant and his assistant. I have a detective calling me and they will probably charge me again. What are my consequenses. I have never been in trouble before until now. I am good on my probation and follow her instructions well. I don't drink, smoke, party, anything.

Please advise.

You need an attorney. Your probation could be revoked. The defense of "everyone else was doing it" will probably not be a good defense, but could be a mitigating factor in your case. If you are in Dallas - Fort Worth, call me at 817-763-0600.
